XML Schemas impacted by the 2013 edition of ISO 20022
On 31 May 2013, a new edition of the ISO 20022 standard was implemented by the RA. One of the impacts of this new edition was the removal of a superfluous <xs:sequence> tag in the choice components of all existing XML message schemas.
For 101 of the existing messages, this removal was made at the occasion of the publication of a new message version resulting from the 2012/2013 maintenance cycle. All the other XML schemas (not impacted by the 2012/2013 maintenance cycle) were ‘patched' to remove the <xs:sequence> tags without changing their message version.
The unpatched versions of these XML schemas, which had been published on this website prior to 31 May 2013, are listed below for reference.
As the message instances generated by the patched schemas and the equivalent unpatched schemas are exactly the same, people that implemented the unpatched schemas can continue to communicate with the implementers of the new patched schemas in a fully transparent way.
