To request updates to the UNIFI Data Dictionary, a portfolio of registration request forms are available as downloadable Excel files (please enable macros). The forms contain 'comment' boxes with specifications on how to fill in the forms. Most of them also have an 'example' sheet. All the request forms are also available in one downloadable zip file.
Additionally, there are two word documents providing guidelines:
"How to request the creation of new Business Components" provides a useful introduction and concrete examples of registration requests
"Guidelines on how to write a definition" provides guidelines on how to write definitions to ensure consistency throughout the Data Dictionary."
The registration request forms can be used to request the following kinds of updates:
- creation of a new Dictionary item (ie, Business Components, Business Associations, Data Types)
- deletion of a Dictionary item
- update of a Dictionary item (ie, add, delete or modify its characteristics)
- move of a Dictionary item (ie, "cut and paste" an item from one "location" to another).
