The Registration Management Group

The ISO 20022 Registration Management Group (RMG) is made of senior industry experts nominated by ISO TC68 P-member countries and category A liaison organisations. The RMG is the highest ISO 20022 registration body: it monitors the overall registration process and reports directly to ISO TC68.

The RMG defines the scope of necessary SEGs, approves business justifications for new messages and allocates them to one or more SEGs. The RMG also acts as a ‘court of appeal' in case of conflicts between the RA, the TSG, the SEGs and the organisations that want to develop ISO 20022 messages (submitting organisations).

It has 34 delegations from the following TC68 P-member countries and category A liaison organisations:

Australia Japan UK SIIA/FISD
Austria Korea US SWIFT
Brazil Luxembourg Clearstream TWIST
Canada The Netherlands Euroclear VISA International
China Norway European Central Bank (ECB)
Denmark The Russian Federation European Payments Council (EPC)
Finland Singapore FIX Protocol Ltd
France South Africa IFX Forum
Germany Sweden ISDA/FpML
Italy Switzerland ISITC

The RMG was created in 2004 and had its first meeting in January 2005.  The RMG convenor is Gerard Hartsink (NL) and the vice convenor is Robert Blair (US).
