At its last meeting in May 2006, the RMG decided to create a Foreign Exchange (FX) SEG and a Trade Services SEG to manage the evaluation of newly proposed candidate UNIFI message sets. These proposals include 'Forex Notifications' to be developed by CLS, 'Invoice Financing Request' proposed by the Associazione per il Corporate Banking Interbancario (ACBI) and 'Trade Services Management' by SWIFT.
ISO TC 68- Financial Services sent a 'call for experts' to all its member countries and international liaison organisations. Nominations of experts must be received prior to the 1st September by TC 68, either through the ISO affiliated National Standards Body of the country of the expert or through one of the official Liaison Organisations of one of the TC68 committee or subcommittees.
The first meeting of these new SEGs is scheduled for 26-27 September in Brussels. It will include a training of the experts as well as the election of a convenor, vice convenor and secretary for each SEG and the presentation of the initial sets of candidate messages by the submitting organisations.
